The world of ice, where none survive too long

Zaphos Sanjino
This begins the story of the frozen planet.
Three months ago, I left my hometown on Eternia for Nova Terra via single-passenger transport. My automated piloting system must have crashed, as I awake from stasis on this strange, frigid world, full of... I think barn-yard animals and mythical monsters (Giant Spiders too boot)! When I get back, if I get back, SkyLeague will be getting an earful. I am NOT a 'pleasant fun happy passenger'.
In case I die here and someone find this, let me be clear that I have done my best with this little hovel I've carved out. This planet has an easily-destructible wood-like flora, out of which I have fashioned primitive tools and furniture, including a thin door. The local hostiles don't seem to be able to get through the flimsy thing, so it serves it's purpose I suppose. While I'm here, I might as well start on an escape plan, which can only be done if I have a decent domicile. Downwards, then, I dig. We'll see how things go.
Entry 2 - Day 14
I've been here two weeks already, but things are looking good. I've managed to kill enough cow-like creatures to make a set of decent clothes, as well as a decent portion of the area's giant spider population. The silk they leave behind makes for a great bow if one gets enough. Arrows, too, are easy enough to make if one harvests feathers from chickens and the corpses of sun-stricken foes (I'm not even going to question why 'zombies' explode in this planet's star's light, and doubly not why they are filled with feathers). This makes hunting swine all the easier, provided I keep enough ammunition to defend from enemies. I've also dug deeper into my hill. Torch-lit seeds collected from the surface flourish below my entry way. This has motivated me to dig deeper still.
Entry 3 - Day 21
Third week, and I'm going crazy. The spiders keep coming, that's fine. The animals havn't dwindled though I've killed dozens of them so far, that's fine. My base is slowly expanding, that's fine. What is NOT fine is this new... thing... I've encountered! Such a hideous beast! I caught only a glimpse of one earlier, but I've survived at least four. Colored a putrid green, it's sniveling fangs and dripping bodice tell of fearsome battles and victories won by this race, but it is a lie. It's four legs scurry towards a target, and a sickening hiss fills the air. Bang, and a hole in the ice I almost drown in. Bang, and half a cliff side is demolished. Bang, and the entrance to my home is taken out. The vigilance is maddening. Even in sun-light these things come. I have fought off four spiders valiantly and with nary a scratch, but one of these has me at my knees. There is no question that I will die here. I have built a stair'd monument at the front of my lair so that some other may find me, if some other comes. I am going to go kill chickens, take the edge off. Thankfully I installed a switch on my door, that automatically closes it so the creepers (I've come to call the monsters) can't come in.
Note - Zaphos was found a frozen corpse, stuck in the doorway. Looks like he didn't hurry though fast enough.
